About

At YUMO, movement is more than exercise, it’s a journey.

Our name comes from YOU MOVE and is inspired by the Japanese word for dream: YUME. In slang, YUMO also means something enjoyable, exactly how moving your body should feel.

We believe every body has its own natural way of moving. At YUMO, you’ll learn to listen to your body, understand your movement patterns, and grow step by step. It’s not about perfection, it’s about practice, awareness, and progress.

YUMO is also a place to connect, with yourself, with your body, and with others who share the same journey.

Yumo Studio 2025 - Fotograaf Birgit Sterckx-1071.jpg

I’m a physiotherapist specialized in chronic overload injuries and women’s health, with experience working in Singapore and India. Alongside physiotherapy, I am comprehensively trained in Pilates and yoga, which shaped my holistic approach to movement.

For years, I dreamed of creating a space where people learn to move mindfully as the key to a healthy body. Pilates is such a powerful and fun way to do this, and that’s how yumo was born.  I just moved to Tervuren- a mix of international, Flemish, and French-speaking communities. My mission is to connect people to their bodies and to each other.

Hope to see you in the studio!
